Twenty nine years later in 1985, Dr. Dale Garber graduated from the same dental school and began practicing at Newman Family Dental Center two years later in 1987. The twenty nine year cycle continued when Dr. Garber’s oldest daughter Samantha graduated from the University of Michigan Dental School in 2014.
Dr. Garber enjoys all aspects of dentistry and takes pride in making patients feel relaxed and comfortable in the dental office through his gentle demeanor and sense of humor.
He likes to keep current with the latest technologies including 3-D computer designed crowns and state of the art endodontic procedures. He is a member of the American Dental Association.
Dr. Garber has a strong affiliation with the University of Michigan. Both of his parents graduated from U of M, as did his wife and 2 daughters. His son is currently attending school in Ann Arbor.
As an undergraduate student, Dr. Garber played trumpet in the Michigan Marching Band and feels at least partially responsible for University of Michigan’s victory over Washington in the 1981 Rose Bowl. You will find him at the Big House every year playing in the alumni band on the field at the homecoming game.
In his free time, Dr. Garber likes to keep physically fit. He has participated in multiple races including half iron man triathlons, and marathons.
Every summer Dr. Garber rides 300 miles in 3 days on his bicycle as a fund raiser for Make a Wish. The Wish a Mile event has become an annual family event that he does with his daughters.

Most of all, he enjoys spending time with his wife Lisa, and his three children Samantha, Jenna, and Noah. He feels very fortunate to be a part of the Newman Family Dental Center team, for the past three decades!
